15th Sunday After Pentecost – 17th September, 2017

Sentence:

If you, O Lord, should note what we do wrong, Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered. Psalm 130.3–4

Prayer of the Day:

O God, you call your Church to witness that in Christ we are reconciled to you: help us so to proclaim the good news of your love, that all who hear it may turn to you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Prayer of the Week:

O God, without you we are not able to please you: mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thought for the Week from Anglican Mothers Union Australia

Peace – NORTH EASTERN CARIBBEAN & ARUBA Province of West Indies Members continue to reach out in their communities as they visit the sick, housebound and those in prison. Branches provide educational support to needy children, help with Meals on Wheels and are active in the Parenting Programme, targeting parents whose children are in juvenile detention centres.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” (Isaiah 26.3)

“Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.” Martin Luther King, 1929-1968
We pray that members in North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba and in Belize will experience an abundance of peace as they seek to serve you in practical ways in their communities.
